Playlist for March 31st, 2010
This week we have an exciting shows. Lots of new music to preview, including a new release by Hamilton band The Rest that you can only get a physical copy of if you buy the accompanying novel. It's a crazy promo. Check it out.
Also, we have the debut of a brand new segment, Name that natural disaster. It promises to be irreverent.
Do us a favour and check out the blogs that we get the music from. They work hard so that our show doesn't suck and they know a lot more about indie music than we do anyway. Show them some love (hence the swan photo).

Playlist for March 24, 2010
This week's playlist has, purely by coincidence, a strong presence by musician/producer/magician Danger Mouse, whom you may remember as the skinny part of Gnarls Barkley.
You'll hear Danger Mouse's work in the song Little Girl (which features Julian Casablancas of the Strokes), in the new act Broken Bells (the other half of which is James Mercer, lead singer of the Shins), and in the brand new Black Keys album, which Danger Mouse produced.
That's kablamo!
Playlist:
Bird & Bear - Bird & Bear
Hayden - Let's Break Up [CBC R3]
Angus and Julia Stone - Big Jet Plane
The National - Bloodbuzz Ohio
Norah Jones - Jesus Etc. (Wilco cover)
Joel Plaskett - Run, Run, Run
Broken Bells - The Ghost Inside
Maybe Smith - You Would Never Survive the Winters in This Province
Metric - Black Sheep [hype]
Danger Mouse and Sparklehorse - Little Girl
Ben Gunning - Take the Hook [CBC R3]
The Hold Steady - How a Resurrection Really Feels
The Black Keys - Tighten Up [hype]

We are now technologically retrofitted to 1 1/2 years ago
So, ishmael created a twitter feed for the show, presumably in response to my cajollery. It's basically like I created it. If you're looking for new songs, links to good blogs and solid info about music around Saskatoon, check it out.
