Ishmael and Matthew present: the best hour and a half of radio in Saskatoon. Every Wednesday from 10:30 to midnite the guys can be heard spinning some songs on Saskatoon's community radio station, CFCR 90.5 FM.
Believe it.
Matthew will be in Calgary for a few days to take in the Sled Island music festival, but that doesn't mean we can't have fun without him! Well, maybe it does. Matthew took the keys to the shed where we keep all the footballs, frisbees and pool noodles. Maybe these fabulous songs will cheer us all up.

On June 23, 1611 the mutinous crew of Henry Hudson's fourth voyage set Hudson, his son and seven loyal crew members adrift in an open boat in what is now Hudson Bay; they were never heard from again.
To honour Hudson's memory, we've put together a rockin' playlist for this evening.
Every four years, we North Americans are shaken out of our apathy and drawn into the irresistible world of football—the real football, that is. There's nothing better than waking up at five in the morning to watch two countries you don't much care for battle it out in a 90 minute match for a result that doesn't much excite you. Yessir, the world's greatest game! (Actually, the World Cup is terribly exciting for me but I understand most Canadians don't give a hoot.)
If you are looking for refuge from the constant World Cup coverage, here's our 100% soccer-free playlist.
Tonight's cover fire was of the song "The Weight" which was made famous by the movie Easy Rider. Here's a little video you might enjoy. Thanks for listening to the show, checking the blog, or both.
You didn't acheive squat today. Jacques Cartier on the other hand rode his sturdy three masted ship up the St. Lawrence 576 years ago today. What did you discover? Probably not a land of freedom and equality. Screw you listener. You might as well get cozy, because listening to our show is going to be the best thing you do this night, guaranteed.
It's been a rough week for us here. Matthew fell behind on his rent, got evicted, lost his job, lost his family in a fire, and his girlfriend flew off to Japan with another man. And Ishmael has a sore ankle.
Still, despite all the world throws at our two heroes, they have managed to put together a killer playlist for tonight's show. Check it out.
